Join Athens Creative Theatre this summer for our teen summer camp programs for ages 13-17. where we will explore various facets of the performing arts and work to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of theatre. Teen camps at ACT are designed as one week intensives with campers spending their days immersed in their theatre discipline whether that be working in scripts for performance camps or spending time constructing sets in our technical theatre camp.
Teen Encore Camp: Explore the world of technical theatre in this one week intensive focused on scenic artistry, props, costuming, and all things behind the scenes. Campers will be introduced to the broad range of technical theatre skills and will get hands-on experience through projects and activities as we explore the various skills necessary to produce live theatre from a technician's perspective.
Teen Drama Camp: A one week intensive camp focused on adding valuable skills to the developing actor's "tool-kit". Campers will explore the range of human emotion through theatre games and activities, develop their script reading and comprehension skills through monologue and scene work as well, and developing improvisational skills. Teen Drama Camp is a place to grow as a young actor and to build skills amongst peers.
Participants will receive a theatre camp guide via email in the weeks prior to their scheduled camp session which will include camp rules/needs, pick-up and drop-off information, and other helpful tips for getting the most out of your summer camp experience.
