Grand Slam is a summer program, exclusively for Athens-Clarke County Middle and High School students. Join us for an evening of games, giveaways, guest speakers, life enrichment activities, music, refreshments, sports, and more. Registration begins Saturday, May 16th at 9:00 AM. After Opening night, registration will be handled week to week, beginning the Saturday of each Grand Slam week.

5:45 PM: Doors Open
6:15-8:45: Organized Games & Activities at Lay Park
8:45-9:00 PM: Student Dismissal and Parent Pick-up
Week 1: Game Night Kickoff
Start the summer off with a fun-filled evening of bingo, interactive games, and friendly competition. Teens can show off their spirit by wearing their favorite jersey and connecting with others in a high-energy, welcoming environment.
Week 2: Wild Wild West
Your teen will step into the Wild West with line dancing, creative cowboy hat decorating, and exciting themed activities. It’s a great way to build confidence, try something new, and enjoy a unique social experience.
Week 3: Summer Splash
Cool off with a pool party designed for fun, relaxation, and social connection. Teens will enjoy music, water games, and a safe space to unwind with friends.
Week 4: Greek Unity Night
This cultural celebration introduces teens to the traditions and pride of Greek life and HBCUs. It’s an engaging night of music, stepping, and activities that promote unity, identity, and positive expression.
Week 5: Project YOU
This impactful session focuses on personal growth, including mental health awareness, basic budgeting, and goal setting. Teens will gain practical tools and confidence to help them succeed beyond the program.
Week 6: Grand Slam Carnival
Enjoy a laid-back carnival-style evening with classic games, rides, prizes, and favorite treats. It’s all about fun, laughter, and giving teens a chance to relax and enjoy the summer atmosphere.
Week 7: Family Fun Night
Wrap up the program with a night of friendly competition where families join in the fun. Teens, their loved ones, and local ACCGov departments come together for games, connection, and community bonding.
