Join us this summer at Memorial Park and Bear Hollow Zoo! Explore outdoor and nature-based activities from swimming and hiking to animal encounters and more.
Week 1: June 6-10, 2022
“Nature's Night Shift”
Do you ever wonder what animals are out after dark? What they do under the cover of darkness? Bring your flashlight and learn all about the animals that work the "night shift." You will meet some of our nocturnal animals in the zoo, test your skills as a night animal, and more!
Week 2: June 13-17, 2022
“The Bear Necessities”
Animals are built for survival. What special adaptations do they have that help them meet their needs? Let's explore the amazing adaptations of animals through tours of Bear Hollow Zoo, creating our own animal with special adaptations, and more!
Week 3: June 20-24, 2022
“ZBI: Zoo Burrow of Investigation”
Calling all Special Agents! Pull out your magnifying glass as we investigate a mystery! Use evidence and clues to solve animal related cases. Look for animal tracks and more to help identify the culprit!
Week 4: June 27- July 1, 2022
Welcome to their homes! Learn about the habitats of the many animals at Bear Hollow Zoo! Tour through the zoo and see all of the fun spaces our animals live in! You will create your own outdoor crib, go on outdoor adventures, and more.
Week 5: July 5-8, 2022
“Bon Appetit! What Do Animals Eat?”
It takes skill, strength, and smarts to survive in the wild, especially when you aren't at the top of the food chain! Let's learn about the food web and see how Bear Hollow Zoo caters to some pretty big appetites around here!
Week 6: July 11-15, 2022
What do you hear? What do you see? Let's explore how animals use their senses in sensational ways! Use your senses, test your skills, and see how you compare to the animals at Bear Hollow Zoo!
Week 7: July 18-22, 2022
“Life Cycles of the Smooth and Scaley”
Are you ready to learn all about the sleek and shiny creatures we have in the zoo? Meet our reptile and amphibian friends this week and learn all about their lifestyles and life cycles.
Week 8: July 25-29, 2022
“Once in a Wild”
Get ready for a zoo-venture! A new mission will help us learn about the animals at Bear Hollow Zoo and teach us how we can help be the best conservationists we can be and make a WILD difference!
Camp registration is limited to 4 weeks per camper. Campers must bring a bag lunch. Camp hours are from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily. Early Drop Off (7:30 am to 9:00 am) and/or Late Pick Up (4:00 pm to 5:30 pm) are available for an additional fee.
Participants will receive via email a guide to camp including what to bring daily and camp rules/needs. You will also receive a pickup tag to display in your vehicle at drop off/pick up times on the first day of camp.
