Join us this summer at Bear Hollow Zoo as we trek through literary children's classics and learn about native wildlife!

Week 1 (June 13-17, 2022): Goodnight Zoo
Are you curious about nocturnal animals? Which animals are awake when we're asleep? This week we'll explore the differences between diurnal and nocturnal animals!

CANCELED: Week 2 (June 20-24, 2022): Dr. Zoo-euss
From "If I Ran the Zoo" to "What Pet Should I Get?", this week we're inspired by the one and only Dr. Seuss! We'll navigate the world of Dr. Seuss through animal classification to adaptations to pets versus wildlife!

Week 3 (June 27-July 1, 2022): Where the Wild Things Are
Let the wild rumpus start! Like Max, we'll traverse habitats and learn about the wildlife that live there! There's nothing quite like home sweet habitat.

Week 4 (July 11-15, 2022): The Very Hungry Alligator
What do animals eat? An homage to Eric Carle's caterpillar, we'll learn about the differences between carnivores, omnivores, and herbivores and learn what our zoo animals eat!

Week 5 (July 18-22, 2022): Black Bear Black Bear What Do You See?
DJ, Athena, and Yonah (Bear Hollow's resident bears) have amazing senses! Let's dive into animal senses and how they're used in sense-ational ways!

Week 6 (July 25-29, 2022): The Giving Me
Shel Silverstein's "The Giving Tree" teaches us that we can give back to others. What can we do for our planet?
