Camp is held at Sandy Creek Nature Center & Sandy Creek Park. Sessions are June 6–July 22, 2022, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Early and late care is available. Registration is limited to 4 weeks per camper. SCNC Members receive a 10% discount.
Designed as an outdoor oriented and active camp. Campers will swim, enjoy outdoor games, hike, and more. If your children love the outdoors and lead an active lifestyle, this camp is for them. All sessions include swimming, canoeing, hiking, archery, crafts and outdoor games. (weather permitting)
At this time, campers will not be required to wear masks or socially distance. Camps will operate at full capacity. Staff will continue to monitor COVID-19 conditions.
June 6-10 Outdoor Adventures
Hike different trails, learn the basics of canoeing, and see live animals. Complete a scavenger hunt and explore outdoor activities at Sandy Creek Nature Center and Sandy Creek Park.
June 13-17 Stellar Trekkers
Trek to Mars and back as we launch adventures at camp. Enjoy a planetarium, perform activities that let you train like an astronaut. Take a swim, battle aliens and enjoying being outside in this stellar week of camp.
June 20-24 Blue Planet
Our blue planet Earth is 75% full of water. This week at camp explore water worlds of fresh and salt water animals. Hike through the creek, go fishing, feed fish, see aquatic creatures. It is a water world of adventure.
June 27-July 1 The Fantastic Five
Compare your senses to animal senses to see how our senses match up to theirs. Stop to smell the flowers. Feel the water of Lake Chapman. Taste your camp lunch. Listen to the birds. See wildlife in nature.
July 5-8 Land of the Lost History
Visit the Log House and Brick Factory ruins to see what life was like during the time over a hundred years ago. Explore animals of the past. Play games from the 1800s and make period crafts. Let history teach you about days gone by.
July 11-15 H20 Pirates
Arrgh Matey! This week of camp is full swash buckling obstacles and challenges. See if you can solve the mystery of the missing pirate treasure by the end of the week. Explore our creeks, lakes and rivers. Underwater adventure awaits!
July 18-22 Bioblitz
We’re surrounded by amazing ecosystems. Count animals, search through habitats. Explore space, navigate through water ways. Join in an amazing camp wide race during this bioblitz week.
