Advanced Middle School Basketball Academy at Aaron Heard Park offers an intensive program for teens ages 11-13, focusing on conditioning, fundamental skills, and advanced training techniques. Running from September 9 to October 4, sessions will be held on Mondays and Fridays, providing participants with the opportunity to enhance their basketball abilities in a structured environment. This academy is designed to middle school scholar-athletes for competitive play while promoting physical fitness and teamwork and is also ideal for those planning to play on the middle school teams (grades 6-8).

Running from August 26 to October 4, sessions will be held on Mondays and Fridays, providing participants with the opportunity to enhance their basketball abilities in a structured environment. Please note that there will be no practice on Monday, September 2; Friday, September 13; and Monday, September 16. This academy is designed to prepare teens for competitive play while promoting physical fitness and teamwork.

The Spring Books and Basketball program, partnered with the We Got Next Sports Academy, our primary goal is to provide a fun and safe environment for your child to learn and grow in the game of basketball and to increase the literary skills of participants. Educators recommend that students read for a minimum of 20 minutes each evening after school and this program will allow students to read books on their reading/grade level or above for a mandatory of 20 minutes prior to transitioning to the the basketball training component of the program. We want parents and guardians to participate also; we are encouraging students to read aloud to improve their confidence using their oratory skills and reading speed, and parents and guardians help provide that willingness to do so.
The basketball training is designed to not only teach basic basketball skills, but also how to apply them in the modern game. Through this training, your child will develop confidence, teamwork, and discipline while improving their physical fitness. Our experienced coaches are passionate about working with children and are dedicated to helping your child reach their full potential. We believe that basketball is more than just a game, it is an opportunity for your child to develop important life skills that will benefit them both on and off the court. By participating in the Books and Basketball program, your child will be part of a community of young athletes who share the same love for the game and a desire to grow and learn together.
