YOUR Community Theatre! Theatre performance and educational opportunities are provided by Athens Creative Theatre (ACT) which is a unit of the Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Division. ACT presents a number of theatrical productions annually, including comedies, dramas, and musicals. The program also offers a range of theatre education courses designed to build self esteem, develop theatrical skill sets, and encourage creativity in performers of all ages and abilities. Theatre activities are housed at both the Morton Theatre in downtown Athens as well as Quinn Hall located at Memorial Park. Summer Camp  2026 Youth Tech Camp (8-12 Year Old)This ONE WEEK CAMP, teaches campers intro to technical theatre through props, painting, games, and practical learning. Students would be working on tech for the performance camp the following week! They get to see their technical and creative skills on stage. (Quinn Hall, Memorial Park) Youth Performance Camp (8-12 Year Old) This TWO WEEK CAMP, takes students through the production process from auditions to stage. The production will be “What Happens After Happily Ever After.” Campers get to enjoy stories that they know with a twist! (Quinn Hall, Memorial Parkwith a performance at 1:30pm)Teen Tech Camp (13-17 Year Old)This ONE WEEK CAMP, teaches campers intro to technical theatre through props, painting, games, construction, and practical learning.
