The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Kinderswim program is a free initiative started with the goal of helping ACC children learn how to swim. The program is offered to all Athens-Clarke County 5-year-old children at no cost.  The lessons are broken into three, 45-minute classes a week for three weeks, for a total of nine lessons, and are available at all of the ACCLS pools. Participants who complete at least seven of the nine lessons will receive a free pool pass for the remainder of the pool season.Rules & Tips  - All swimmers are required to wear a swimsuit. Cotton is not allowed in the pool.  - Participants cannot register after the first two lessons to ensure swimmers have adequate time to learn to swim safely.  - Participants should bring their own towels.  - Although there is no cost, participants must register online.  - Participants must be 5-years-old to take part in Kinderswim.

Athens-Clarke Leisure Services offers small group swim lessons for children ages 3 and up. All lessons are taught by certified lifeguards. Classes are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. Your child must be 3 years old or older and potty trained to participate in Swim School.The lessons are broken into three, 45-minute classes a week for three weeks, for a total of nine lessons, and are available at the Bishop Park, Lay Park and East Athens Community Center pools.

Skate- Campers will learn fundamental skateboarding skills and improve upon existing skills. Helmet and skateboard are required for participation. Roller Blades, Roller Skates, Bicycles and Scooters are not permitted.Triathlon- Camp will meet at Bishop Park, campers will practice two sports a day (running, biking or swimming) and we will have a mini triathlon at the park on Friday. Participants need to be proficient in swimming (swim 50m without stopping), biking (bike 1 mile) and running (run 1/4 mile) prior to the start of camp. The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Kinderswim program is a free initiative started with the goal of helping ACC children learn how to swim. The program is offered to all Athens-Clarke County 5-year-old children at no cost.  The lessons are broken into three, 45-minute classes a week for three weeks, for a total of nine lessons, and are available at all of the ACCLS pools. Participants who complete at least seven of the nine lessons will receive a free pool pass for the remainder of the pool season.Rules & Tips  - All swimmers are required to wear a swimsuit. Cotton is not allowed in the pool.  - Participants cannot register after the first two lessons to ensure swimmers have adequate time to learn to swim safely.  - Participants should bring their own towels.  - Although there is no cost, participants must register online.  - Participants must be 5-years-old to take part in Kinderswim.

We will explore the world of art and discover different ways we can express ourselves. Week 5 July 6-July 9: Americana Let’s get ready for a patriotic week! All games, activities, and crafts will showcase what makes America so special. We will cap the week off with a Friday cookout. Week 6 July 12-16: TechknowledgyCould you go a day with no technology? Probably not! That’s why we’re experiencing a technology takeover. The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Kinderswim program is a free initiative started with the goal of helping ACC children learn how to swim. The program is offered to all Athens-Clarke County 5-year-old children at no cost.  The lessons are broken into three, 45-minute classes a week for three weeks, for a total of nine lessons, and are available at all of the ACCLS pools. Participants who complete at least seven of the nine lessons will receive a free pool pass for the remainder of the pool season.Rules & Tips  - All swimmers are required to wear a swimsuit. Cotton is not allowed in the pool.  - Participants cannot register after the first two lessons to ensure swimmers have adequate time to learn to swim safely.  - Participants should bring their own towels.  - Although there is no cost, participants must register online.  - Participants must be 5-years-old to take part in Kinderswim.
