9:00 AM - 4:00 PM    Camp Carnival at Heard Park - W4 Carnival Pictures (June 27 - July 1)
Are you ready for a week full of carnival fun? If you answered "yes", then Carnival Camp is for you! This summer will be full of engaging experiments, crafts,   activities, and carnival classics to give campers the experience of a real carnival. Join in on this camp for some carnival fun!Week 1  June 6-10: Carnival GamesCarnival game week will consist of learning about classic arcade games and the science used to create them. Each group will create an arcade game that will be featured in our end of the summer carnival. Week 2 June 13-17: Carnival Games"Carnival games continued"Week 3 June 20-24: Carnival MagicAbracadabra! This week is about learning the various forms of illusions and magic! Each group will make their own form of an illusion and learn magic tricks. Week 4 June 27-July 1 : Carnival PicturesPhoto week will consist of campers making their version of a photo booth. Campers will construct a photo booth, paint self portraits, and explore art through a carnival viewpoint.Week 5 July 5-8: Carnival Food Campers will explore the world of carnival foods. Each group will create their own signature Carnival food for a taste test competition.Week 6 July 11-15: Carnival RidesNothing screams fun like a roller coaster ride! This week groups will work together to create a roller coaster that will be put on display.  Week 7 July 18-22: Carnival Animals"Bear" with us as we learn about animals that you might see at a carnival. Campers will take a trip to Bear Hallow Zoo and the Nature Center.Weeks 8 July 25-29: Camp Carnival It's carnival time! Let's take some of the winning projects and incorporate them into our very own Carnival.

Week 1 June 6-10: In It to Win ItLet’s put our creative minds to the test by using TEAMWORK! Being able to navigate through both physical and mental challenges we face at camp each week. Campers will work together to create the best product or business a teen can offer, Shark Tank style. Week 2 June 13-17: Out-the-DoorsThere’s no summer without camping! Our campers will participate in a variety of camp related activities, such as, basic survival skills, tent building, hiking, cooking our own food, and more. Week 3 June 20-24: We are the ChampionsGroup games galore! We will have friendly competitions against fellow campers here at Lay and at Aaron Heard Park. Games include kickball, basketball, dancing, and more.Week 4 June 27-July 1: Wild at ArtDiscover yourself by unleashing your imagination. We will explore the world of art and participate in various ways of expression. Week 5 July 5-8: Let's Get TECHnicalCould you go a day with no technology? Probably not! That’s why we’re experiencing a technology takeover. Campers will learn how code robots, fly drones, and use other technology in our teen tech lab.  Week 6 July 11-15: Plugged InCome and get plugged in on the most popular social avenues and technology. Campers will learn how to design and print teen camp t-shirts, create a podcast on the latest hot topics, and create an Athens “Teen Camp” Documentary using different forms of digital media. Week 7 July 18-22: All About the TeensTeens, here’s your chance to create and carry out a whole week of camp! Campers will use teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving to create a week of summer fun. Week 8 July 25-29: Blast From the PastThis last week ties in with the previous 7 weeks of camp. We will show our team spirit as we reflect on our favorite activities, sports, bonds created, and camp memories!*A $10.00 trip fee is required for each week (this is not scholarship eligibe).**Participants must have the following items: backpack, sneakers, swimsuit & towel.

5:30 PM - 6:15 PM    Swim School - Swim School Session 2 - 5:30pm Heard Park
Athens-Clarke Leisure Services offers small group swim lessons for children ages 3 and up. All lessons are taught by certified lifeguards. Classes are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. Your child must be 3 years old or older and potty trained to participate in Swim School.The lessons are broken into three, 45-minute classes a week for three weeks, for a total of nine lessons, and are available at the Bishop Park, Lay Park, and Heard Park pools.

Are you ready for a week full of carnival fun? If you answered "yes", then Carnival Camp is for you! This summer will be full of engaging experiments, crafts,   activities, and carnival classics to give campers the experience of a real carnival. Join in on this camp for some carnival fun!Week 1  June 6-10: Carnival GamesCarnival game week will consist of learning about classic arcade games and the science used to create them. Each group will create an arcade game that will be featured in our end of the summer carnival. Week 2 June 13-17: Carnival Games"Carnival games continued"Week 3 June 20-24: Carnival MagicAbracadabra! This week is about learning the various forms of illusions and magic! Each group will make their own form of an illusion and learn magic tricks. Week 4 June 27-July 1 : Carnival PicturesPhoto week will consist of campers making their version of a photo booth. Campers will construct a photo booth, paint self portraits, and explore art through a carnival viewpoint.Week 5 July 5-8: Carnival Food Campers will explore the world of carnival foods. Each group will create their own signature Carnival food for a taste test competition.Week 6 July 11-15: Carnival RidesNothing screams fun like a roller coaster ride! This week groups will work together to create a roller coaster that will be put on display.  Week 7 July 18-22: Carnival Animals"Bear" with us as we learn about animals that you might see at a carnival. Our campers will participate in a variety of camp related activities, such as, basic survival skills, tent building, hiking, cooking our own food, and more. Week 3 June 20-24: We are the ChampionsGroup games galore! We will have friendly competitions against fellow campers here at Lay and at Aaron Heard Park. Games include kickball, basketball, dancing, and more.Week 4 June 27-July 1: Wild at ArtDiscover yourself by unleashing your imagination. We will explore the world of art and participate in various ways of expression. Week 5 July 5-8: Let's Get TECHnicalCould you go a day with no technology? Probably not! That’s why we’re experiencing a technology takeover. Campers will learn how code robots, fly drones, and use other technology in our teen tech lab.  Week 6 July 11-15: Plugged InCome and get plugged in on the most popular social avenues and technology. Campers will learn how to design and print teen camp t-shirts, create a podcast on the latest hot topics, and create an Athens “Teen Camp” Documentary using different forms of digital media. Week 7 July 18-22: All About the TeensTeens, here’s your chance to create and carry out a whole week of camp! Campers will use teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving to create a week of summer fun. Week 8 July 25-29: Blast From the PastThis last week ties in with the previous 7 weeks of camp. We will show our team spirit as we reflect on our favorite activities, sports, bonds created, and camp memories!*A $10.00 trip fee is required for each week (this is not scholarship eligibe).**Participants must have the following items: backpack, sneakers, swimsuit & towel.

Athens-Clarke Leisure Services offers small group swim lessons for children ages 3 and up. All lessons are taught by certified lifeguards. Classes are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. Your child must be 3 years old or older and potty trained to participate in Swim School.The lessons are broken into three, 45-minute classes a week for three weeks, for a total of nine lessons, and are available at the Bishop Park, Lay Park, and Heard Park pools.

Are you ready for a week full of carnival fun? If you answered "yes", then Carnival Camp is for you! This summer will be full of engaging experiments, crafts,   activities, and carnival classics to give campers the experience of a real carnival. Join in on this camp for some carnival fun!Week 1  June 6-10: Carnival GamesCarnival game week will consist of learning about classic arcade games and the science used to create them. Each group will create an arcade game that will be featured in our end of the summer carnival. Week 2 June 13-17: Carnival Games"Carnival games continued"Week 3 June 20-24: Carnival MagicAbracadabra! This week is about learning the various forms of illusions and magic! Each group will make their own form of an illusion and learn magic tricks. Week 4 June 27-July 1 : Carnival PicturesPhoto week will consist of campers making their version of a photo booth. Campers will learn how to design and print teen camp t-shirts, create a podcast on the latest hot topics, and create an Athens “Teen Camp” Documentary using different forms of digital media. Week 7 July 18-22: All About the TeensTeens, here’s your chance to create and carry out a whole week of camp! Campers will use teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving to create a week of summer fun. Week 8 July 25-29: Blast From the PastThis last week ties in with the previous 7 weeks of camp. Athens-Clarke Leisure Services offers small group swim lessons for children ages 3 and up. All lessons are taught by certified lifeguards. Classes are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. Your child must be 3 years old or older and potty trained to participate in Swim School.The lessons are broken into three, 45-minute classes a week for three weeks, for a total of nine lessons, and are available at the Bishop Park, Lay Park, and Heard Park pools.

The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Kinderswim program is a free initiative started with the goal of helping ACC children learn how to swim. The program is offered to all Athens-Clarke County 5-year-old children at no cost.  The lessons are broken into three, 45-minute classes a week for three weeks, for a total of nine lessons, and are available at all of the ACCLS pools. Participants who complete at least seven of the nine lessons will receive a free pool pass for the remainder of the pool season.Rules & Tips  - All swimmers are required to wear a swimsuit. Cotton is not allowed in the pool.  - Participants cannot register after the first two lessons to ensure swimmers have adequate time to learn to swim safely.  - Participants should bring their own towels.  - Although there is no cost, participants must register online.  - Participants must be 5-years-old to take part in Kinderswim.

Athens-Clarke Leisure Services offers small group swim lessons for children ages 3 and up. All lessons are taught by certified lifeguards. Classes are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. Your child must be 3 years old or older and potty trained to participate in Swim School.The lessons are broken into three, 45-minute classes a week for three weeks, for a total of nine lessons, and are available at the Bishop Park, Lay Park, and Heard Park pools.

This summer will be full of engaging experiments, crafts,   activities, and carnival classics to give campers the experience of a real carnival. The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Kinderswim program is a free initiative started with the goal of helping ACC children learn how to swim. The program is offered to all Athens-Clarke County 5-year-old children at no cost.  The lessons are broken into three, 45-minute classes a week for three weeks, for a total of nine lessons, and are available at all of the ACCLS pools. Participants who complete at least seven of the nine lessons will receive a free pool pass for the remainder of the pool season.Rules & Tips  - All swimmers are required to wear a swimsuit. Cotton is not allowed in the pool.  - Participants cannot register after the first two lessons to ensure swimmers have adequate time to learn to swim safely.  - Participants should bring their own towels.  - Although there is no cost, participants must register online.  - Participants must be 5-years-old to take part in Kinderswim.

Campers will work together to create the best product or business a teen can offer, Shark Tank style. Week 2 June 13-17: Out-the-DoorsThere’s no summer without camping! Our campers will participate in a variety of camp related activities, such as, basic survival skills, tent building, hiking, cooking our own food, and more. Week 3 June 20-24: We are the ChampionsGroup games galore! We will have friendly competitions against fellow campers here at Lay and at Aaron Heard Park. Games include kickball, basketball, dancing, and more.Week 4 June 27-July 1: Wild at ArtDiscover yourself by unleashing your imagination. We will explore the world of art and participate in various ways of expression. Week 5 July 5-8: Let's Get TECHnicalCould you go a day with no technology? Probably not! That’s why we’re experiencing a technology takeover. Campers will learn how code robots, fly drones, and use other technology in our teen tech lab.  Week 6 July 11-15: Plugged InCome and get plugged in on the most popular social avenues and technology. Campers will learn how to design and print teen camp t-shirts, create a podcast on the latest hot topics, and create an Athens “Teen Camp” Documentary using different forms of digital media. Week 7 July 18-22: All About the TeensTeens, here’s your chance to create and carry out a whole week of camp! Campers will use teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving to create a week of summer fun. Week 8 July 25-29: Blast From the PastThis last week ties in with the previous 7 weeks of camp. We will show our team spirit as we reflect on our favorite activities, sports, bonds created, and camp memories!*A $10.00 trip fee is required for each week (this is not scholarship eligibe).**Participants must have the following items: backpack, sneakers, swimsuit & towel.

Athens-Clarke Leisure Services offers small group swim lessons for children ages 3 and up. All lessons are taught by certified lifeguards. Classes are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. Your child must be 3 years old or older and potty trained to participate in Swim School.The lessons are broken into three, 45-minute classes a week for three weeks, for a total of nine lessons, and are available at the Bishop Park, Lay Park, and Heard Park pools.

The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Kinderswim program is a free initiative started with the goal of helping ACC children learn how to swim. The program is offered to all Athens-Clarke County 5-year-old children at no cost.  The lessons are broken into three, 45-minute classes a week for three weeks, for a total of nine lessons, and are available at all of the ACCLS pools. Participants who complete at least seven of the nine lessons will receive a free pool pass for the remainder of the pool season.Rules & Tips  - All swimmers are required to wear a swimsuit. Cotton is not allowed in the pool.  - Participants cannot register after the first two lessons to ensure swimmers have adequate time to learn to swim safely.  - Participants should bring their own towels.  - Although there is no cost, participants must register online.  - Participants must be 5-years-old to take part in Kinderswim.

Are you ready for a week full of carnival fun? If you answered "yes", then Carnival Camp is for you! This summer will be full of engaging experiments, crafts,   activities, and carnival classics to give campers the experience of a real carnival. Join in on this camp for some carnival fun!Week 1  June 6-10: Carnival GamesCarnival game week will consist of learning about classic arcade games and the science used to create them. Each group will create an arcade game that will be featured in our end of the summer carnival. Week 2 June 13-17: Carnival Games"Carnival games continued"Week 3 June 20-24: Carnival MagicAbracadabra! This week is about learning the various forms of illusions and magic! Each group will make their own form of an illusion and learn magic tricks. Week 4 June 27-July 1 : Carnival PicturesPhoto week will consist of campers making their version of a photo booth. Campers will construct a photo booth, paint self portraits, and explore art through a carnival viewpoint.Week 5 July 5-8: Carnival Food Campers will explore the world of carnival foods. Each group will create their own signature Carnival food for a taste test competition.Week 6 July 11-15: Carnival RidesNothing screams fun like a roller coaster ride! This week groups will work together to create a roller coaster that will be put on display.  Week 7 July 18-22: Carnival Animals"Bear" with us as we learn about animals that you might see at a carnival. Campers will work together to create the best product or business a teen can offer, Shark Tank style. Week 2 June 13-17: Out-the-DoorsThere’s no summer without camping! Our campers will participate in a variety of camp related activities, such as, basic survival skills, tent building, hiking, cooking our own food, and more. Week 3 June 20-24: We are the ChampionsGroup games galore! We will have friendly competitions against fellow campers here at Lay and at Aaron Heard Park. Games include kickball, basketball, dancing, and more.Week 4 June 27-July 1: Wild at ArtDiscover yourself by unleashing your imagination. We will explore the world of art and participate in various ways of expression. Week 5 July 5-8: Let's Get TECHnicalCould you go a day with no technology? Probably not! That’s why we’re experiencing a technology takeover. Campers will learn how code robots, fly drones, and use other technology in our teen tech lab.  Week 6 July 11-15: Plugged InCome and get plugged in on the most popular social avenues and technology. Campers will learn how to design and print teen camp t-shirts, create a podcast on the latest hot topics, and create an Athens “Teen Camp” Documentary using different forms of digital media. Week 7 July 18-22: All About the TeensTeens, here’s your chance to create and carry out a whole week of camp! Campers will use teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving to create a week of summer fun. Week 8 July 25-29: Blast From the PastThis last week ties in with the previous 7 weeks of camp. We will show our team spirit as we reflect on our favorite activities, sports, bonds created, and camp memories!*A $10.00 trip fee is required for each week (this is not scholarship eligibe).**Participants must have the following items: backpack, sneakers, swimsuit & towel.

The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Kinderswim program is a free initiative started with the goal of helping ACC children learn how to swim. The program is offered to all Athens-Clarke County 5-year-old children at no cost.  The lessons are broken into three, 45-minute classes a week for three weeks, for a total of nine lessons, and are available at all of the ACCLS pools. Participants who complete at least seven of the nine lessons will receive a free pool pass for the remainder of the pool season.Rules & Tips  - All swimmers are required to wear a swimsuit. Cotton is not allowed in the pool.  - Participants cannot register after the first two lessons to ensure swimmers have adequate time to learn to swim safely.  - Participants should bring their own towels.  - Although there is no cost, participants must register online.  - Participants must be 5-years-old to take part in Kinderswim.
