Therapeutic Activities - Chair Yoga ACC Leisure Services offers Therapeutic Recreation programs, services, and activities that are accessible to all individuals with disabilities. ACCLS supports and encourages opportunities for inclusion in all programs. In addition, adaptive programs are available to provide individuals with disabilities a modified experience for recreational success.
These programs are specifically designed for populations with disabilities. The programs are intended to assist persons with disabilities in an adapted environment, which may be modified in terms of progression, skills breakdown, techniques, or equipment.Staff will be present to assist with facilitation and provide adaptions for skill development. If one-on-one supervision is needed, a parent/guardian or other caregiver should be present for the duration of the program. Adaptive programs are designed for individuals who require additional assistance or modification.

After-School - After School at Rocksprings Park Leisure Services' After School Program is focused on providing a safe environment that supports creativity, educational growth, and active living. Participants will experience a variety of enrichment activities each week that stimulate the students' minds and creativity, improve fitness, and provide unique experiences they may not otherwise encounter. The program is offered to all Athens-Clarke County 5-year-old children at no cost. The lessons are broken into three, 45-minute classes a week for three weeks, for a total of nine lessons, and are available at all of the ACCLS pools. Participants who complete at least seven of the nine lessons will receive a free pool pass for the remainder of the pool season.Rules & Tips - All swimmers are required to wear a swimsuit. Cotton is not allowed in the pool. - Participants cannot register after the first two lessons to ensure swimmers have adequate time to learn to swim safely. - Participants should bring their own towels. - Although there is no cost, participants must register online. - Participants must be 5-years-old to take part in Kinderswim.
