Birthday Party Details
Bear Hollow Zoo offers birthday parties on Saturday and Sunday during the following 2-hour time blocks:

Saturdays & Sundays
  • 12:30PM - 2:30PM
  • 3PM - 5PM
Important Party Details:
  • A Bear Hollow staff member will greet you when you arrive to discuss your party plans as well as preview the agenda and supplies before your guests arrive.
  • Each party will consist of an animal presentation (see below), personalized map for your self-guided tour of the zoo, and plenty of time in the classroom for your own special party plans (games, cake, presents, etc.). 
  • We will host your party rain or shine. Due to the popularity of our programs, we fill our reservations quickly and it can be very difficult to reschedule. 
  • Please bring rain gear if it is a light rain. In the case of heavy rain, we will still do an Animal Presentation.
  • There will not be any additional time allotted before or after your selected birthday party reservation for set up/clean up. Please consider this when planning your party and informing your guests of an arrival time. 
  • Please do not bring outside animals or pets to your party.
  • Bear Hollow Zoo has a no balloon policy. We ask that families bring alternative decorations if desired. Balloons can be an environmental hazard as well as a waste of helium, which has a very limited resource. 

*When calling to reserve your party, please inform us of the birthday child's name and age. If requesting a reservation online, please enter the birthday child's name and age in the Additional Information section of your request.

Animal Presentations
During the animal presentation, you will meet three of our ambassador animals. One of these three will be a contact animal, which means you and your guests will be able to touch or pet the animal during the interaction. 

If your party prefers not to have a snake present as one of your three animals, please let us know at the time of reservation. If submitting a reservation request online, please state "no snake" in the Additional Information section of your request.
