Lyndon House Arts Center
Summer Art Camp 2022

We start each day of art camp doing Tai Chi as a group to facilitate mindfulness and as a great team-building activity.

Explorations in Contemporary Art: 5-7 Year olds

Exciting hands-on art projects will allow young artists to have fun exploring the world of contemporary art while developing fundamental art skills, learning about new artists and new vocabulary and meeting creative challenges.  Projects are designed to use various media including drawing, painting, mixed media and 3-D.

Studio Art Practice: 8-11 Yr olds
Exciting hands-on art projects will allow young artists to have fun exploring the world of art while developing fundamental art skills, learning new vocabulary and meeting creative challenges.
Young artists will learn a variety of techniques, using a selection of media, in studio art classes taught by professional teaching artists. Students are invited to question, explore, investigate, and solve problems as they create art and learn about professional-level studio practices.  There will be opportunities to work in 2D and 3D media, including drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics and more.

Please pack both a snack and a lunch each day for your child as well as a refillable plastic water bottle. Please have young artists wear clothes appropriate for messy art fun (they might get paint or other permanent marks on them).  We will use smocks when possible, but they may not prevent stains on clothing.

Attention Parents/Guardians:  We will send out text/email reminders and updates through the MyRec software.   Please make sure that notifications have not been turned off and confirm your settings are correct.  If not, you will miss out on valuable information pertaining to your child’s class.
