Summer Camp 2025
Historical Performance Theatre Camp (10-16 Year Old)
Athens Creative Theatre presents a one-week camp focused on researching important historical figures and preparing a dramatic presentation on the character of the camper's chosen historical figure. The camp will center around exploring history and learning the principles of dramatization while equipping children with the tools they need to present aural history in a creative and fun way. (Quinn Hall, Memorial Park)
Teen Drama Camp (13-17 Year Old)
A one-week intensive camp focused on adding valuable skills to the developing actor's "tool-kit". Campers will explore the range of human emotions through theatre games and activities, develop their script reading and comprehension skills through monologue and scene work, and develop improvisational skills. Teen Drama Camp is a place to grow as a young actor and to build skills amongst peers. (Quinn Hall, Memorial Park)
Youth Drama Camp (8-12 Year Old)
Youth Drama Camp is a one-week introduction to theatre for children. The camp explores theatrical performance, characterization, and improvisation principles. Campers will learn how to navigate the stage, find their way around a script, and learn tools to help them continue growing as young actors. (Quinn Hall, Memorial Park)
Teen Encore Camp (13-17 Year Old)
A technical theatre camp focused on scenic design and construction. Campers will team up to help construct set pieces for the youth performance camp that will appear on stage at the Morton Theatre at the end of the summer. Teen Encore campers earn program credit as scenic artists for the youth summer performance and get to see their work on stage in a live performance at the end of the summer camp season. (Quinn Hall, Memorial Park)
