Sandy Creek Day Camps (7-8 years) - Week 1: Nature 67 Camp is held at Sandy Creek Nature Center & Sandy Creek Park. Sessions are June 1–July 17, 2026, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Early and late care is available. Registration is limited to 4 weeks per camper. SCNC Members receive a 10% discount. Designed as an outdoor oriented and active camp. Campers will enjoy outdoor games, hikes, and more. If your children love the outdoors and lead an active lifestyle, this camp is for them. All sessions include canoeing, hiking, archery, crafts and outdoor games. (weather permitting)
Sandy Creek Day Camp:June 1 -5: Nature 67 Adventure awaits! Campers will hike, canoe, practice archery, and play outdoor games while exploring the secrets of the natural world. Meet live reptiles, go fishing, birdwatch, make crafts, and dive into hands-on science experiments. Every day is packed with fun, discovery, and outdoor adventure! June 8 -12: The Tale of the Beaver Shark Get ready for a week of wild mystery and non-stop outdoor fun! Campers will dive into cryptozoology as we swap spooky stories, search for Bigfoot tracks, and uncover the legendary tale of the Beaver Shark. Between creature hunts and laughs in the woods, we’ll pack the week with hiking, canoeing, fishing, archery, and tons of outdoor games. If you love adventure, surprises, and exploring the unknown, this is the camp for you!Campers will go on a creek walk this week. They will need closed toed shoes that stay on their feet. June 15 -18: Hide and Seek (No camp on Friday June 19 for holiday) Step back in time and explore the outdoors like never before! Campers will uncover the stories behind a 1790s log house and old brick factory, learn about nature’s adaptations, and practice survival skills. Hike, investigate, and discover the hidden secrets of the land in a week full of history, adventure, and hands-on fun! June 22– 26: Look Up, Look Down, Look All Around! Discover nature from top to bottom! Study flying animals, investigate underground habitats, try hands-on physics experiments, and meet live critters up close. Add in canoeing, archery, hiking, disc golf, camp games, and a star-filled planetarium show and you’ve got a week packed with adventure in every direction.June 29 – July 2: Water Everywhere (No Camp on Friday July 3 for holiday) Make a splash and dive into adventure! Campers will explore lakes and streams, learn about aquatic life, and enjoy canoeing, fishing, water games, and hands-on nature activities. Hike along waterways, study ecosystems, and discover the wonders of water in nature. Every day is filled with fun, exploration, and excitement for young adventurers!Campers will go on a creek walk this week. They will need closed toed shoes that stay on their feet.July 6 -10: Wilderness Adventure Calling all adventurers! This camp is for kids who love to explore. We’ll trek through the woods, paddle canoes, cast lines for fishing, and search the treetops for birds. Campers will practice wilderness survival basics including shelter building get hands-on time with reptiles, learn about local animals, and dive into tons of high-energy outdoor games. Every day brings a new challenge and a new adventure!Campers will participate in mud play this week. Closed toed shoes that fit tightly on feet will be required. They will hike the greenway trail for approximately 2.5 miles. July 13 – July 17: Pick Your PathSpin the wheel and let the adventure begin! Every day brings a new challenge or a new way to explore the outdoors. Campers will rotate through exciting activities. From hands-on learning to outdoor games and imaginative challenges, Pick Your Path keeps curiosity, creativity, and fun rolling all week long.
