East Athens Educational Dance Center provides quality dance training and programming for participants of All Ages, Skills, and Ethnic Backgrounds. Our facility specializes in the genres of Concert Dance: Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, & West African dance forms. Tippy Tots for Twos: Fun and Exciting class that introduces students to music and dance. To help students build confidence and independence, classes are held without parent supervision. Parents are required to acquire dance wear prior to the start of class: Girls: black leotard (no skirts attached), flesh tone transitional tights, and pink ballet shoes. Boys: white fitted t-shirt, black biker shorts, and black ballet shoes. The high energy class is also full of fun and exciting Hip Hop dance movements from a variety of styles. Music selections are clean and age appropriate. Students age 6 and under should be accompanied by a participating adult. Adult Jazz: Designed for anyone interested in exploring jazz dance in a welcoming, community focused environment. This class introduces essential jazz technique, musicality, and style through simple exercises and fun, approachable choreography. No previous dance experience is required.  Please wear jazz shoes and comfortable clothing.  Teen/Adult Tap: Tap into your rhythm and creativity in this fun class designed to explore the fundamentals of tap dance! Tap shoes and comfortable clothing required as you explore a variety of tap dance steps and fun choreography guaranteed to thrill and challenge!
